Monkey Island

Lingshui South Bay Monkey Island (also known as Nanwan Monkey Islet)

This island covers an area of about 10,000 hectares and is located in Lingshui County to the east of Sanya. There are almost 400 species of tropical plants and over 100 different kinds of animal, including the famous rhesus monkeys. There are about 1,500 of these monkeys on China's protected animal list and this is the world's only tropical island reserve for wild monkeys. You will enjoy watching the monkeys swim, swing from tree to tree and perform acrobatic tricks.

Hainan mountain ridge forest park

In the northwest corner of Hainan Island, just 90km from Sanya, you will discover a perfectly preserved, primitive tropical rainforest extending over nearly 450 sq.km. This ranks in the Chinese top 10 and is the only national forest with sea views! You can visit for one day or, why not, stay overnight and enjoy the atmosphere.

The Story of the Turn-round-deer- Park

Long long ago, a young hunter lived in Wuzhi Mountain, who was brave, hard¬working and warmhearted. One day, he found a beautiful deer when he was hunting. He chased the deer, crossing 99 mountains and wading 99 rivers. Finally, after nine days and nights, they reached a cliff beside the sea, there was no way out. While he raised the bow, fire flashed and fog came up, the deer turned into a beautiful girl.
